I confess that this week has found me more stressed out and in a much more foul mood than usual. I think between the stress involving my wife’s accident, financial costs related to it, the time crunch having to drive my wife to multiple appointments every day, very busy and stressful evenings at work, and a damp, grey and wet October where we actually have had two snowfalls in the Twin Cities (Even for us, mid October is really early to get snow)…well, I’ve been in a shitty state of mind. It took a cartoon to remind of the addage from the movie “The Life of Brian”: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you’re chewing on life’s gristle
Don’t grumble, give a whistle
And this’ll help things turn out for the best…
